Vintage Thorne's Premier Hinged-Lid Toffee Tin, Featuring the Famous Painting, "The Age of Innocence" by Sir Joshua Reynolds. The condition appears to be excellent, with a few light scratches across the young girls lap, along with a few light dents, but neither affecting use or displayability of this tin. The hinge works fine, the company info is displayed on the lid's inside, and it's extremely clean inside. The bottom is lightly oxidized with no display. Made in England.ย

DID YOU KNOW? The Age of Innocence is an oil-on-canvas painting by Sir Joshua Reynolds, created in either 1785 or 1788. The sitter is unknown, but possibly, was Reynolds's great-niece, Theophila Gwatkin, or Lady Anne Spencer (1773โ€“1865), the youngest daughter of the 4th Duke of Marlborough. The painting was presented to the National Gallery in 1847 by Robert Vernon and has hung in the Tate Britain since 1951.
