Mid Century Modern Vintage Glo-Hill 3 Section Chrome Tray "Gourmates" Glass Dish with Bakelite Handle. The glass trays are not chipped or cracked, and the holder overall is in great shape, with a few minor scratches and scuffs due to it's age. This is a must-have for the Glo-Hill collectors!
GLO-HILL HISTORY: The Globus Brothers were of Belgian descent, their family having arrived in Canada at the beginning of the 1900’s. As the business grew into the 1960’s and 1970’s Glo-Hill began offering chrome holloware pieces used in home entertaining: serving trays, cocktail items and kitchen tools of various sorts that included tea service sets and gravy boats.
DID YOU KNOW? The Glo-Hill Company of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, was started in 1945 by brothers-in-law, Jack Globus and Harry Hill. Leo and Saul, the two brothers of Jack, were then invited to join the company. Together, all the Globus Brothers and Harry Hill became ‘Glo-Hill’.
