ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Ray Phillips is a former logger, school boat operator and fisherman. His mother was a member of the Klein family--the namesake of the community of Kleindale on the Sunshine Coast and the subject of his first book, The Little Green Valley: The Kleindale Story (Harbour Publishing, 2011), which received the BC Genealogical Society Family Book History Award for 2012. He lives in Pender Harbour, BC, with his wife Doris.
