THE PROPOSED COINAGE OF KING EDWARD VIII, is a Rare 1st edition publication from 1973, by G.P. Dyer, the Librarian and Curator of the Royal Mint. Published by the Deputy Master and Comptroller of The Royal Mint, London, United Kingdom. Size: 8.5 x 5.5 inch, 31 pages, staple bound. Printed in England by J.W. Arrowsmith Ltd, of Bristol, UK.

Excellent Condition, clean inside, with the Fraser Valley Coin Club stamp on inside front page, and a small black piece of material taped to the lower left cover corner (I have no idea what it's for, see photos).Β

Following the accession of King Edward VIII in 1936, designs were prepared for the coinage of the new reign and trial pieces were struck by the Royal Mint. Because of the Abdication, no coins of Edward VIII were issued in the United Kingdom and few details of the designs were made public at the time.
