THE CANADIAN ART CLUB 1907-1915, was an artists' group established in Toronto in 1907 to advance the standards of Canadian art exhibitions and to exhibit the work of distinguished Canadian artists, particularly those who had studied abroad or lived there. It declined after the death of its co-founder Edmund Morris in 1913, ceased to exist in 1915 but was not formally dissolved until 1933.
THE CANADIAN ART CLUB 1907-1915, By Dr. Robert J. Lamb, is an excellent reference book on the complete history of the Canadian Art Club. The essay is written in English and French, same page, and is complete with footnotes. Many full-colour art plates are inside, along with numerous historical photographs of the members. At the back of the book is a complete reference library listing everything the 'Club' did in it's eight + years of existence.
