TOM THOMSON, THE ALGONQUIN YEARS, Tom Thomson's finest work emerged during the last four years of his life when he painted the trees, rocks, rivers, skies and winds of Algonquin Park.

Although the author's familiarity with Thomson's life and surroundings recall him as a person, her book goes far beyond the point of personal knowledge. In cooperation with Elizabeth Harwood, all available material relating to the artist's life in the Park has been researched--letters, anecdotes, personal recollections and photographs.
