TALES OF THE BRITISH COLUMBIA PROVINCIAL POLICE, is filled with stories as only the Deputy Commissioner Cecil (Nobby) Clark, of the British Columbia Provincial Police (retired) could tell them! They were a special breed, these pioneer law makers and policemen. They gave British Columbia a unique position in the history of the continent. These tales of law enforcement are a large part of the history of BC.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Cecil Clark was only 17 when he took the oath for service with the oldest police organization in North America. Starting in the lowest rank and working to the top, that was his active life for 35 years. And 20 years after his retirement, he was still in pursuit of truth and justice, still the sleuth, so he began writing of his true life experiences. Working in archives, libraries and official histories of BC, he weaved evidence together to provide a background of 'cracking good' true stories of adventure and suspense that will take the reader from the raw frontier of yesterday, to the highly civilized province of today.
