TALES FROM A PILOT'S LOGBOOK, A Love Affair With Airplanes by Royal Cooper, is the author's many experiences as an RAF fighter pilot, airline pilot, bush pilot, and chief pilot, and they all form the basis of Tales from a Pilot's Logbook.
Royal Cooper's career in the aviation industry spans fifty years and over sixty different types of aircraft. His love affair with planes began in 1933, when he spotted General ltalo Balbo's Flying Boats on their way from Chicago to Italy. After World War II, Royal Cooper settled in Gander, Newfoundland, where he became Chief Pilot with EPA and served on the Town Council for thirteen years (three terms as mayor) and was active in setting up the North Atlantic Aviation Museum.
