Stunning Vintage Riley's Toffee Tin of Halifax, England, entitled, ‘Judgment of Hercules’ in Robins Egg Blue and Original Company Label. Condition is Excellent, with no apparent scratches or dents, and lovely images like the Wedgwood pieces in blue and white colors and features a Classical Greek theme with hero Hercules, Mt Olympus and Goddess.
The 'Judgment of Hercules' (also known as the 'Choice of Hercules') is an ancient Greek parable about the young hero encountering two goddesses representing Vice and Virtue. The bottom is marked by maker, " Riley's Toffee Made in England by Riley Brothers (Halifax) Limited Halifax, England". The tin is in pristine condition and display worthy. Top is removable and opens easy, while the bottom displays the company information. a partial original Clarnico label. The inside lid is double-walled, with a tight central handle and the interior is spotless. Made in England.
