Armstrong, British Columbia, and the surrounding districts of Spallumcheen, Deep Creek, Salmon River, Falkland and Westwold, more than played their part in WW1, with over 300 men serving the armed forces. Of these, at least sixty died either during the war, or shortly afterwards from war related causes.
