PREMIER STEPHEN McNEIL: A Story of a Nova Scotian Family, is about the McNeils and Mombourquettes, as they established a joint heritage that began in Cape Breton, then to Spryfield and continues in Upper Granville, in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley.
Stephen McNeil is a Canadian politician who served as the 28th premier of Nova Scotia, from 2013 to 2021, and the twelfth of seventeen siblings. He was a mere eight years old when his father died suddenly. It thrust the family, led by his mother, into some challenging yet rewarding times. Older brothers and sisters took on new roles and created a bond that continues to this day.
