Saskatoon's Doug Porteous has been writing for most of his life. He has published in Western Canada magazines, Highland Valley Rodeo brochures, Saskatchewan Writer's Guild publications, 'Saskatoon Lifestyle' and 'Living Sky' magazines and more. His first book of poems and writings was "Gopher Tales of Saskatchewan" printed in November of 2007. It was an anthology of his previously published work, dedicated to the women of Saskatchewan.
