The hand-painted image on this stunning oil lamp is of a beautiful deserted island somewhere in the deep Caribbean or South Pacific, complete with turquoise water, white sandy beach, blue and white skies, an outrigger canoe, and it's all perfectly painted by and signed by the artist, Paul Brent.
How the Lamp Works: These are catalytic combustion lamps (similar to Maison Berger lamps). They use a specialized alcohol-based fuel to eliminate odors and diffuse scent without an open flame. Inside the hand-painted outer glass sits a clear inner glass liner. This liner holds the fuel and isolates the liquid so it never touches or damages the delicate reverse-painted artwork on the inside of the vessel.
