Mid-Century DUTCH LIGHTHOUSE Hinged-Lid Tin Container: 'VUURTOREN DE LANGE JAAP', is a stunning rare tin and an example of the great Dutch craftsmanship in tin designing and manufacturing. This strong, sturdy tin box is in almost excellent condition, no dents, no damage, slight scuffing, but with a fully intact main image. Hinge works perfectly. Made in Holland.
The cover features a romantic sepia-toned black and white photo of VUURTOREN DE LANGE JAAP, also known as LANGE JAAP LIGHTHOUSE. The sides are like a DELFT Blue colour, with a double white trim nearer the bottom. The underside is plain tin. On the opening side of the lid reads: BANKETBAKKERIJ OUWERKERK EN KAANDORP, which is the Bakery Kaandorp, and they have a rich history dating back to 1930.
