Vintage Basketweave and Wood Thermometer Collectible, is a cute and attractive hand-made wooden display made in JAPAN, somewhere around the mid-century, for the tourist trade of some country, probably a Caribbean Island. It features a boy and girl wearing straw hats, and displays a working thermometer in both Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature. Above this rests a hand-weaved basket shade, with a delicate gold fabric trim top and bottom. Made in Japan.
On each side of the Basketweave Wooden Thermometer, is a figure representing a boy and girl, blue and pink painted circles, and their cute faces, all hand-painted, and adorned by little weaved hats. Just a lovely collectible to bring enjoyment day after day.
