Here is a Large Vintage 1950's Tin Serving Tray, entitled: THE ROAD TO THE ISLES CAUSEWAY, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. It's in excellent condition, with light handling wear. The front displays an image of the famous Canso Causeway, along with two bonny lassies and a bagpiper. There is a beautiful robins'-blue painted bevelled border. The Back is plain tin and stamped 'JAPAN'.ย
DID YOU KNOW? The Canso Causeway opened in 1955, after 3 years of construction, and it's a 1,385 m rock-fill causeway that crosses the Strait of Canso, connecting Cape Breton Island by road to the Nova Scotia peninsula.
