IT'S HARD TO LOOK COOL WHEN YOUR CAR'S FULL OF SHEEP, is an entertaining collection of short stories all gleened from the author's syndicated column, 'The Back Forty'.
It's all here: the sheep killed by statistics, how to load pigs without getting dirty, reviving a drunken fly, and other stories gleaned from the years of hard living and soft barnlots that lead to such a volume. This book is fun reading, even if you haven't felt that hot breath from the back seat.
"Totally corny, smart humor on the farm/country level! I thoroughly enjoyed it, but found that small doses at a time were perfect. Originally written as a column in the paper, I believe, so the format was perfect to read one, giggle and groan over it for a few days, and then move onto the next one. If you like Patrick McManus, this is probably going to be a decent read for you." -Reviewed by Melissa on Goodreads.
