DID YOU KNOW? The "Empress" steamships were a fleet of ocean liners operated by the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) for over half a century, primarily on the trans-Pacific and transatlantic routes. They carried mail, passengers, and freight between Britain and Canada, and later between Canada and various parts of Asia. The Empress fleet included ships like the RMS Empress of China, RMS Empress of India, RMS Empress of Japan, RMS Empress of Britain, and RMS Empress of Ireland.
