ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Grady's first novel, Emancipation Day, won the 2013 Amazon.ca First Novel Award, was longlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Award, and named by the CBC one of the ten best books of the year. He has also won four Science in Society Awards, numerous National Magazine Awards, and his book The Great Lakes won the National Outdoor Book Award in the U.S. He is the co-author, with his wife, novelist Merilyn Simonds, of Breakfast at the Exit Cafe: Travels Through America.
