"A truly unique WW11 article of ephemora, and a gentle reminder of Canadian sacrifice, even here at home, in restoring peace throughout Europe."
DID YOU KNOW? Canada used ration books in World War II to control the distribution of scarce goods, ensuring that civilians received a fair share of essential items and that vital resources were available for the war effort, particularly for Canadian and Allied troops and for sending supplies to Britain. Rationing was managed by the Wartime Prices and Trade Board and included food items like sugar, coffee, and meat, as well as gasoline and other materials like rubber and metals, which were needed for war machinery.
