An exquisite antique wooden pencil box, featuring hand-painted folk art style bouncing bunnies and a rising sun or moon above. The size is larger than most pencil boxes, suggesting it may have been used for other supplies as well. Crafted for a young boy in Grade Two, this solid wood box exhibits a beautiful patina, with a few marks and slight bumps, as expected. The lid is securely attached with two brass hinges, and it functions and closes properly. Inside the cover, it appears the young boy signed his name in pencil, and the bottom of the box displays his name twice more.
