Antique Decorative Plate, in excellent condition, by The Johnson Brothers of England is titled DREAM TOWN... "a genuine hand engraving all decoration under the glaze detergents and acid resisting colour Pat Pend."
As the back states, this is an amazing hand-engraved, and hand-coloured image of a pastorial river-side village somewhere in England. The brown colours dominates the scene, but the sea-coloured blue spruce trees and meandering river balance out the center staged bright-yellow roof far off in the distance, like a beacon to guide you home.
