ANTIQUE 'BEAT-UP' ENGLISH TIN TEA CONTAINER: Butterfly on a Paisley Flower, is a very handsome small tin, totally exuding patina because it's had a tough life! Condition, as photos and title attest to, is beat-up; many little dents, plenty of small scratches. The Lid is hinged, although rudimentary, and it opens with some work. Inside is clean but totally oxidized, and base is stamped 'Container Made in England'.
"This tin is a classic example of how much life these old and original tins really have in them. This one has been working for decades for me, long after it was probably dropped out of a plane mid-century, haha. I've been using it for over a decade storing old lapel pins. It's worked great because it's got so many dings all around, that the top really needs to be "talked to" just to get it to open-up, which is what I needed for storing the pins. But alas, I just sorted and bagged all the old lapel pins that were inside, (getting them ready to put online), and now this little buddy is sitting idle...so, time to move to a new home." -Reviewed by Paul Gillmore.
