Air Canada 60th Anniversary Plaque issued in 1997 to celebrate six decades of the airline's history since its origins as Trans-Canada Air Lines (TCA) in 1937. There is no Lapel Pin Memento included. Condition of the presentation box is excellent, and the enclosed wood-backed plaque is Brand New Old Stock, still in factory wrapping.
The commemorative item includes a laminated tribute panel highlighting "fin 264," a specific Airbus A319 aircraft that was repainted in the original 1937 Trans-Canada Air Lines vintage colors, and features a cutout window displaying a matching anniversary lapel pin. The text on the plaque is printed in both English and French, offering gratitude to employees or contributors, and is finalized with the printed signatures of top Air Canada executives of the era, including R. Lamar Durrett, Jean-Jacques Bourgeault, and Robert A. Milton. For collectors of aviation memorabilia, this specific memento generally holds a special place in their heart.
