DID YOU KNOW? The West Coast Trail is a challenging 75 km (46.6 mi) backpacking trail on the southwest coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, that takes 5 to 7 days to complete. It is known for its rugged terrain, including ladders, mud, and river crossings, and requires hikers to be well-prepared for difficult conditions. The trail is located in the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve and was originally built to rescue shipwreck survivors from the "Graveyard of the Pacific".
