ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Henry Jackson van Dyke Jr. (November 10, 1852 – April 10, 1933) was an American author, educator, diplomat, and Presbyterian clergyman. As a member of the clergy, Christmas and Easter were a special holidays for Henry van Dyke, and he wrote several popular Christmas Stories.
