2005 Canadian 8-Coin Proof Double Dollar Set: CANADA'S NATIONAL FLAG 40th Anniversary Silver Dollar. Packaged in an elegant book-style Royal Canadian Mint Maroon Leather case, with removable lens, COA and original RCM outer black box. All in excellent condition with possible slight toning to silver coins.

The birth of the Canadian Flag that we know today was inspired by the planning for the 1967 Centennial celebrations. Numerous experts joined the parliamentay committee and a new design was found that incorporated red and white, Canada's national colors that had been proclaimed in 1921, and the maple leaf. On February 15, 1965, Canada's new flag was raised for the first time in an official ceremony on Parliament Hill.

Silver Dollar is 99.99% Fine Silver, with selective gold plating. All other coin composition, except the loonie and penny, are 92.5% silver, 7.5% copper.
