A set of 17 Vintage Postcards, all full-colour, "Samarkand also known as Samarqand, is a city in southeastern Uzbekistan and among the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Central Asia, known for its mosques, mausoleums and other sites linked to the Silk Road."
Each card has an embossed Copper Seal "Camapkana", and a scene description in Russian, and English. Published and printed in Moscow, 1990, just prior to Uzbekistan declaring independence from Russia in 1991.
