The year 2013 marks the 60th anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. To commemorate this special occasion, the Royal Canadian Mint presents this coin that celebrates Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

This stunning full-coloured coin captures the spirit of Phil Richards’ renowned Diamond Jubilee portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, with Queen Victoria in the background. Phil Richards had been selected by the Queen herself, from five Canadian artists, to paint this official 2012 portrait titled 'Tradition and Tranquility: The 2012 State Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II'.
