The Royal Canadian Mint created this Special Edition 2000 Millennium Edition Bear to celebrate the $1 coin which can be found in this Canada Knowledge 2000 Specimen Set of 7 Coins. The original โToonieโ coinโs design of the majestic lone bear was replaced by a female one with her two cubs. This image was created by artist Tony Bianco which personifies the transfer of knowledge as well as wisdom from one generation onto the next. It also comes with an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Canadian artist Dora de Pedery-Hunt. This millenium $2 coin also comes with an inscription which says "Knowledge - Le Savoir."
