1964 CANADA 6-COIN PURE SILVER PROOF SET. These coins are still in MINT CONDITION as originally packaged by the Royal Canadian Mint. Sealed pliofilm packaging, original envelope and the COA/info sheet is included. Coins represented are $1, 50 cent, 25 cent, 10 cent, 5 cent, and penny coins.
1964 was the celebration of the Centennial of the 1864 Meetings in Charlottetown, PEI and Quebec City, QC, which formed the basis for the British North America Act,Β which created the Dominion of Canada in 1867. The Silver Dollar design depicts, conjoined within a circle, the French fleur-de-lis, the Irish shamrock, the Scottish thistle and the English rose.
