1960's Vintage Canadian Souvenir Silver Metal Pillbox with Hinged Lid and Clasp: Celebrating the Famous Nova Scotia Racing Schooner, THE BLUENOSE II

This vintage Canadian souvenir pillbox from the 1960s celebrates the iconic Nova Scotian racing schooner, the Bluenose. It’s in excellent condition, with no damage or major scratches, though there’s a bit of wear on the red metal. The crest has slightly yellowed with age but remains clearly visible. The latch works perfectly and locks securely, while the inside white plastic divider appears original. The back is marked “Made in Hong Kong.”

While it celebrates an iconic piece of Canadian maritime history, the box itself was manufactured in Hong Kong, at a time when this area was the predominate manufacturer of many of the world's essential items, including tourist souvenirs. The design features a central shield showcasing the famous ship under full sail beneath the word "BLUENOSE", all set against a vibrant red, engine-turned guilloche-style enamel background. These collectibles appeal to both vintage Canadiana collectors and pillbox enthusiasts.
