1967 CANADIAN SILVER $1 DOLLAR COIN: 80% Pure Silver
1967 CANADIAN SILVER $1 DOLLAR COIN: 80% Pure Silver
This silver dollar was minted in 1967 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Canadian Confederation. Each $1 face value silver dollar contains approximately 0.6 ounces of pure silver. Each coin contains 80% pure silver as well as 20% of other metals. Coin is packaged in a cardboard holder, and inside a flip-open heavy vinyl pouch. The coin appears to be in beautiful condition, and photographs are of the actual coin available.
Official legal tender - the $1 silver coins are real circulation currency that were minted by the Royal Canadian Mint when real silver was still used in making everyday coins...imagine that eh?
DID YOU KNOW? The reverse of the coin displays a Canada Goose in full flight along with the inscription "Canada 1867 - 1967", and the obverse is the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Nicknamed the "Flying Goose", the image on this coin was created by the famous Canadian Artist Alex Colville.
