2009 Canadian 8-Coin Fine Silver Proof Double Dollar Set: CANADA FLIGHT 100th Anniversary Silver Dollar. Packaged in an elegant book-style Maroon Leather case, with removable lens, and COA. Coins and their case are in Excellent Condition, no outer box, price adjusted.
All coin composition, except the loonie and penny, are 92.5% silver, 7.5% copper. Silver Dollar also has selective gold plating
On February 23, 1909, on a frozen lake in Nova Scotia, a silver-winged "aerodrome" amazed onlookers as it flew 0.8 km (0.5 mi) to complete the first airplane flight in Canada. Designed and built by the Aerial Experiment Association under Alexander Graham Bell, the Silver Dart flew 50 times before being destroyed.
